Open Contacts

Options

Applications

Open Contacts will by default use Windows Default Emailer to create new Email item. For example, if your Windows Default Emailer is Eudora, Open Contacts will launch Eudora and create a new Email item with Email addresses selected.

If you choose MS Outlook as the default Emailer of Open Contacts, or your Windows default Emailer is MS Outlook, you will be able to add addresses from Open Contacts to the CC fields or BCC fields of current Outlook Email item.

To change the setting of Windows Default Emailer, go [Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options].

If you select Email Launcher, you will be able to create Email with Windows default Emailer, MS Outlook, or Thunderbird.

Change location of the database file

Go to the Database tab, then press the "Change database location" button. If you want to share the database across the network, please read the data sharing guide. If you just want to move the location, you may pick up a folder and key in a file name of the database. The user name and the password should be the default ones. After this step, close the program and move the database file to new location.
